Fo Guang Chinese School
Introduction	Fo Guang Chinese was founded in 1995 to achieve Master Hsing Yun's concept of fostering talents through education; and to carry forward traditional chinese culture, to teach moral ethics, to enhance student's ability to listen, speak and write the Chinses language and to develop a balance between knowledge is Venerable Miao Yung. At present, we have several classes which include; Kindergarten, VELS levels 1 to 6 and VCE. We also have after school tuition classes and activities in the afternoon. Also the Box Hill branch was established two years ago. At the moment there are two classes running at the Box Hill Branch.

NewsLetter for Parents - 2010
	To student whose Chinese is their second language, we use creative way to teach them, so that students find it interesting and welling to learn. The teachers have the love of Bodhiativas, and the heart of a mother. According to different student levels, teachers use different teaching styles. The contribute to making the school a positive learning environment and make learning fun. They apply encouraging teaching methods to develop the potential of the student.

	Our Teaching expertise and management is highly recommended by the Department of Education & Training and Multicultural Commission. We have met the Education Department assessment criteria and have been accreditation granted and educational grants.
Teacher and level 6 students
	Our School possesses an excellent learning environment with leaching equipment including audio and video facilities. Every week, The Venerable and teachers will tell Buddhist stories in offer to guide students to appropriate normal values. We provide Fo Guang Scholarships to students who achieve exemplary results. Every year, we organize "Caring Parent" activities on a regular basis to encourage parent to come to the school and discuss their children progress. This is a very effective way to promote communication between students, parent and the school.
